*The Fourth of July!!*

I had a really good time on the Fourth of July!! I actually got to celebrate it for two days. On the 3rd, I had Shanna and her family over for dinner and then later we did some fireworks in the front of the driveway. It was really fun to watch Blaine hold the sparklers and watch the fireworks go off. He seemed to really have a lot of fun. I worried about him burning him self but Bryce helped him realize that it was hot, he was really cute with him. Shanna and Austin, sat back and enjoyed the entertainment. Then after words we played Texas Hold'em and that was a lot of fun too. It was a really great night!!

Then on the Fourth, Alison invited me over for dinner and it was so good. She made Barbecue Chicken, corn bread muffins, beans, and had pineapple. It was really delicious. She is really a good cook!! Any time you want company for dinner Ali, I am there!! Nate also shared with me his pet Python. It is not really that big but stretched out it gets to be about 3 feet long. I am not afraid of snakes if I know they will not poison me, so I held it for quite a while. It has a really soft skin. I really liked it. After that we took a ride to Weber High School to watch the fireworks there. Tracy and Tyler came over to say hi for a few minutes, too, that was nice. It was really a pretty good show and I very much liked watching them. It reminds me of a book I read when I was a kid and had to do a report on about Francis Scott Key who wrote the "Star Spangled Banner" He was on a ship in the ocean and all night long the bombs were bursting in the air and when they stopped the war was over, the flag was still there. It was a book I will always remember and made me appreciate our flag and our great country. Thanks Shanna, Bryce, Alison and Nate for sharing with my such a wonderful celebration of our country. I love you so much. Mom

Tracy and Shanna's Swim Play Date!!

Tracy and Shanna decided to have a little swim play date at Tracy's house. I was so glad that they invited me to go. It was a lot of fun. We at first ran into some problems, like it was going to take us a week to blow up the pool so I went and got us a battery operated pool blower upper, Oh brother I don't know what they are called!! Then we got it up and started to fill it and realized how freakin' cold it was going to be, so I filled up 6 five gallon water jugs full of hot water from the bath tub and carried it out to the pool. Needless to say once we were up, we were in business. It was so nice to be able to just sit back and relax in the pool. We adults liked it better than the kids I think because it was so relaxing and we pretty much filled up the whole pool and left little room for the kids to play. Lol!! Thanks Tracy and Shanna for a very fun day!! Love you. . . . . . . .

ETHAN TURNS TWO!!

Wow is it possible that my first grandson is two all ready? It doesn't seem real but it's true!! Ethan turned 2 on June 27th, 2008. He is getting so big and cuter by the minute. I know that it's common to call them the Terrible Twos but I think I want to call it the Terrific Twos. He is so smart and so fun to hang out with. He is saying a lot of words now and can say almost every ones name. He's got the sweetest little voice and he just warms my heart!! Ethan, I am sorry I wasn't able to be at your party but I am glad we got to spend a little time together to celebrate it at your great grandma and grandpa Jensen's. He and Logan were so cute playing together. It was fun. I got a real kick out of my brother Kenny playing with Ethan. He was teasing him taking his food and finally He asked Ethan if he could have his Hamburger and Ethan piped up and said "NO", Kenny laughed so hard, it was funny. Later Kenny helped lift him up so he could blow out the candles on his cake. Kenny really is cute with the kids. I really like that. Ethan blew out his candles after a few tries it was so great to see how excited he was to celebrate his birthday. Thanks Ethan, I love you dearly!! Happy Birthday!! Grandma
