Alison's Baby Shower!!

<

Wowsers what an exciting time!! Alison" baby is due soon and I am very excited aBout the knew arrival!!

Now about the shower..... We had it at our new house we had only been in it for about a week so we didn't have anything up yet and it was kind of plain. It was still fun. Alison's Grandma, Aunts (Kathy, Sherry, and Judy), her sisters, and a few friends all came.

we played a few games like measuring her belly to see who could get the closest. We played name the baby, because the little guy needs a name still. Then we played baby Concentration. Shanna and Tracy helped me make the game and it turned out so fun. Thanks guys!!

Then we ate, we had chicken salad on croissants served with chips, celery, carrot sticks, and brownies. It was really good.

While we ate Alison opened her presents. She got some really nice things and cute out fits for the little guy. I am so excited to see him and give lots of loves. I love my grand kids so much and it is so great to have another little boy to grace our family. By the way that makes 6 little boys and no girls. But good more good news on the way... (Shanna is having a baby girl in March)

Thanks Alison and Nate for giving me another little grandson!! I love you both!!

Happy Halloween!!

Thanksgiving has past but I thought I would put in a little Halloween tidbit.

Halloween was a really not very exciting for me this year. We had spent the whole week moving into our new house and to be honest I was exhausted. I had worked a double shit the night before and then spent most of the night cleaning the old house.

However.....I did get to see my kids and my grand kids. That made the whole day for me. It was fun to see them all together and I tried to get a picture with all the grand kids but that was not really happening. I did get some cute pictures though and I think I will share a few with you.

Breckston is ONE!!

Happy Birthday Breckston!!

Your Grandma is so slow at posting stuff lately that you will be closer to two when we get this done. Not really, but I am worried about when you turn five how far I'll be behind. At this rate it is not looking good.

Buddy...you had such a fun birthday party. Your mom and dad got to use your Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Christensens'club house where they live to have your party at. You have so much family that loves you that there house just seems kinda like a doll house once everyone piles in. The point here is that you are so loved!!

We went to the place where the part was and I helped your parents set up and decorate a little and then everyone started to come and pretty soon it was so busy, everyone visiting and seeing you and taking your picture.

Then the fun time came, opening all your presents. Oh, boy, are you ever spoiled!! It looked like Christmas morning. You weren't really sure anout all those presents, you kind of wanted grandpa Mark instead. Your pretty funny!! pretty soon though your mom and dad had you opening your presents and you seemed to be having fun for a little while but got a little bored with the whole thing and I think you wanted just to get down and play. Of all your gifts you got I think that this little soft police car I bought for you was your favorite present. you were going all over the place with it. I was fun to watch you.

We then got all together and had cake and ice cream. Your mom made you the cutest birthday cakes.

They were Elmo and Cookie Monster. She did sch a great job on them. you are so lucky you have parents that love you so much!! your mom put a table cloth ddown on the floor and gave you your own pesonal cake and let you have at it. You kind of just dove in and before we knew it, you had icing and cake all over you!!
The cake was delicious.

Thanks for having such a fun party Breckston!
I LOVE YOU.....

Logans Birthday!!

I cannot believe all of the birthdays we have any more and how slow I am to put the wonderful moments on my blog. But finally sweet Little Logan I am getting to your birthday and want you to know how much you mean to me and how special you are to me.

Your Birthday was so fun you were dressed in your new church suit which was so fitting for you to look so important!! We got there and your parents had ordered pizza and baked it in the oven for us and we all brought something to help celebrate. We brought the soda pop. It was a good meal and it turned out nice.

Your mom had decorated the house so cute. Who would believe you just turned one years old and how cute you are.

We all visited for a little while and then a few more of your relatives came to have cake and ice cream with you. You were so cut in your little hat and your very own cake to tear into. It is always fun for me to see a one year old eat there first birthday cake and then make a mess of themselves and everything around them. So cute....and the cake was so good. Mmmmmmm!!

After the cake your daddy and mommy helped you open your presents.....so did Ethan. it was so fun to see how cute your family is and how they all work together to share in your important days. They love you so much, and I love you so much, too!!

Happy First Birthday Logan!!

BLAINE"S SECOND BIRTHDAY!!

Happy Birthday Blaine!!

I can't believe that my second grandson has turned two. Wow, how time flies. It seems just yesterday when I was trying to sneak at the hospital and wait for him to be born. It is such a great moment in a mothers life to have her children have babies and become good little mommies.
Bryce and Shanna had a little party for Blaine and invited everyone to go to her house and have cake and ice cream and watch Blaine open his gifts. He was so cute and seem to love opening his presents. He got so much, among them he got little pans, food, and a little kitchen, which he seemed to like the best of all his presents which makes sense since that kid loves to cook and eat for that matter. When he is over to the house for dinner he'll get in his chair and wait for his food to come, and he is not always patient for it either, but most of the time he is. When it came time to blow out his candles he did a great job and got both of them out in just a couple of blows. It is so cool to see these little babies become little boys and they are so smart- so fast. When my kids were little it seemed like they would never grow up, but watching Blaine and Ethan, I realize how quickly they did grow up. It is so much funner to watch from the side lines than to be in the thick of things raising your own children. There is truly a reason why you raise your kids while you are young. I am so grateful for all my grandsons and also for my one that is on his way. Ali is having a boy!! I am now going to have some bench for my basketball team......yeah.

I LOVE YOU BLAINE!! Thanks for making me smile every day, happy birthday. July 27, 2008.

*The Fourth of July!!*

I had a really good time on the Fourth of July!! I actually got to celebrate it for two days. On the 3rd, I had Shanna and her family over for dinner and then later we did some fireworks in the front of the driveway. It was really fun to watch Blaine hold the sparklers and watch the fireworks go off. He seemed to really have a lot of fun. I worried about him burning him self but Bryce helped him realize that it was hot, he was really cute with him. Shanna and Austin, sat back and enjoyed the entertainment. Then after words we played Texas Hold'em and that was a lot of fun too. It was a really great night!!

Then on the Fourth, Alison invited me over for dinner and it was so good. She made Barbecue Chicken, corn bread muffins, beans, and had pineapple. It was really delicious. She is really a good cook!! Any time you want company for dinner Ali, I am there!! Nate also shared with me his pet Python. It is not really that big but stretched out it gets to be about 3 feet long. I am not afraid of snakes if I know they will not poison me, so I held it for quite a while. It has a really soft skin. I really liked it. After that we took a ride to Weber High School to watch the fireworks there. Tracy and Tyler came over to say hi for a few minutes, too, that was nice. It was really a pretty good show and I very much liked watching them. It reminds me of a book I read when I was a kid and had to do a report on about Francis Scott Key who wrote the "Star Spangled Banner" He was on a ship in the ocean and all night long the bombs were bursting in the air and when they stopped the war was over, the flag was still there. It was a book I will always remember and made me appreciate our flag and our great country. Thanks Shanna, Bryce, Alison and Nate for sharing with my such a wonderful celebration of our country. I love you so much. Mom
